For my money the "Tweaker" music video is the most fun hip hop moment of 2025 so far. Just look at that shot of the three Ball brothers cheesing in a giant yellow Hummer! They're having so much fun! Shoutout to their father!

Boldy James has released two albums already. Neither are his best but there are some good tracks, primarily on Permanent Ink (with Royal House/Roger Goodman). There's something about the Boldy / RichGains collabs that has never clicked with me, Indiana Jones was underwhelming and Murder During Drug Traffic feels about the same.

MIKE and Pink Siifu dropped the first two standout rap albums of the year. Both records will be on repeat for the foreseeable future.

Young Dro and Zaytoven released a full collaboration album, not something I was expecting in 2025 and NOT something I was expecting to sound so good in 2025.

‍Rio Da Yung OG is excited to be out of jail. He sounds great.

And we got a song by Andre Nickatina and B-Legit called "Put That On The Gooch". Fillmoe.
